Please indicate BEAUTIFUL MAN AUDITION in the subject line and the ROLE you are auditioning for in the body of your email. If you would like to audition for multiple roles, you can indicate that in the body of the email. Please attach your photo and resume. Auditions will be held in Motel Theatre, Arts Commons from June 20th to 22nd. As provided for in 8:06 (V) of the Independent Theatre Agreement, we can accept self-tapes to accommodate an Actor who is unable to attend in person.

We are thankful to gather for storytelling in Mohkinstsis on Treaty 7 Territory, home of the Blackfoot Confederacy including the Siksika, Kainai and Piikani Nations, the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations. This land is also home to the Metis of Region 3 as well as many First Nations and Inuit peoples from across Turtle Island.
ROLES TO BE CAST
Sophie: 30s to 40s - leader of the group, very direct*
Jennifer: 30s to 40s - really gets into the gory details, spars with Sophie*
Beautiful Man: 20s to 40s - Beautiful Man is a cis white man. He is always well lit, always carefully dressed, always beautiful. Throughout the play his clothes are removed and he becomes even more beautiful. Though we can’t quite believe it, he grows even more beautiful.**
*Jennifer, Pam and Sophie casually discuss a movie they have just seen. Together, they create a layered alternate reality where women are the hunters and men are the hunted. All three of them are witty, clear and filled with confidence. Please note that Pam has been cast.
** PLEASE NOTE: There will be no full nudity on stage and intimacy coaching will be provided.
